![]() I've got too many project cars and I'm in the middle of a move, etc. If someone wants to buy the car and the parts I had to build up the car, I've got a Formula hood, GTA wheels, V8 exhaust manifolds, dual cat Y-pipe, a complete TPI setup with harness, and accessories, I've got V8 TPI fuel lines (used), and the restored front crossmember with poly V8 mounts. Pretty much everything is there except the V6 engine and 700R4 that I scrapped. The fuel tank is sitting there ready to go back in. The HVAC box under the hood will go with it, along with steering box and all the stock suspension pieces. The headliner board has been treated with fiberglass resin, it'll go with the car. I've got all the interior panels, that have been quickly cleaned and are in decent shape. The original HVAC box and ducting is all in storage and can be tossed in with the deal. ![]() I've got the dash assembly, with the well worn dash pad, and the original 120mph V6 cluster. It'd probably roll on a trailer and could be strapped down. It's easy enough to roll around just one person. Right now it's on the rolling cart in the pictures. If anyone is remotely interested, I could probably make a deal to include a ton of the parts to assemble a pretty nice car. In general I don't like trying to sell project cars, so chances are pretty good I'll take the listing down in a few days if it doesn't get much attention. I expect it to be a hard sell since it's a Firebird "kit" at the moment, just a little assembly required. Actually, I can hardly work on anything with this car in the way. I just want to get the other car out of storage and back into my garage, and can't do that with this car sitting in the way. ![]() By the end of May it's usually too hot to work on the car outdoors, so unless I want to turn the shop into a paint booth, it'll be hard to work on until Fall. It's been family a time or two, this year it's Covid. Every spring when the weather is ideal to throw things in high gear, something comes up. I had hoped to get the rest of the shell primed and move on to the next step for a couple years now. I've had the hatch ready to lift off for over a month now, no one around to lift the other side, can't strip the channel the hatch and weatherstripping sits in with the hatch on there, so I'm stuck. "Social Distancing" has killed any chance of getting anyone to help with heavy lifting. If you can't figure out how to get a trailer and something to pull it, or how to get the car home, don't waste my time with stupid questions. I'm asking $1,000 for the rolling shell with nothing fancy included. If you want various other parts to complete the car, they can be included for additional cost. The hood, fenders, and bumper covers aren't pictured but they'll come with the car. It can be had just as it is, or I can bolt the crossmember and a 10-bolt rear into it with enough suspension that it can roll on a trailer. Right now there's no interior, no suspension, etc bolted to the shell. It's all set to finish the body work and build back up however you want. The hood, fenders, bumper covers, and deck lid are still in faded flaking green paint, the shell and doors have been stripped to bare metal aside from the underneath, and the engine compartment has been primed with epoxy. I've worked on the door quite a bit and gotten it fairly close to where I think it should be, but I've got another door that will go with the car. It doesn't show any evidence of any serious collision damage, but someone hooked the driver's mirror on something and mangled the door. It had one small spot of rust that's been cut out and clean steel welded back in. It had high mileage and had been neglected but the bones were solid. ![]() It's a 91 Firebird shell, was a complete base model with a V6, auto, and no options. Looking to get the stalled project out of my garage. I'll update the listing if anything changes. 8-22-2020 - The car is currently not available. ![]()
